1. Reasons for Joining this Company
“Applying what I have learned and treating people with sincerity” is my motto.
During my school days, I longed to work in a science park. In order not to waste what I have learned, the advanced semiconductor manufacturing industry was the goal I pursued with my engineering background.
After intently understanding the industry chain in the semiconductor manufacturing industry, I discovered that equipment suppliers have more space to challenge themselves, offer technical support and services to major semiconductor companies, and even work, grow, and improve with team members and customers abroad. Hence, KAP became my goal that kept me moving forward.
2. Current Work Content
At present, I work as an equipment engineer in the Sheet-Fed Department, and provide after-sales services for equipment systems on customer side. I make various progress arrangements for my customers every day. My work content not only covers routine machine inspections, but also includes machine installation and modifications, or having discussions regarding the status of equipment shipment and telephone teaching sessions regarding equipment maintenance with customers. In addition, I listen to customers’ ideas and requirements, then report these requirements to my colleagues and officers and discussing with them the feasibility of such requirements before implementing them.
3. Growth at Work
I discuss with my colleagues and seniors the problems posed by customers, and earn customers’ trust by making step-by-step improvements, thereby accumulating technical capabilities, corresponding skills and responsibility. Then, I use these techniques on different customers. Due to internationalization, most of our correspondence is in English because we do not only deal with Asian customers, but also have to travel to places like the United States to interact with our customers, thereby enabling me to accumulate capabilities and language skills. All these have enabled me to feel a sense of accomplishment from experiencing substantial growth. I also hope that my team has more opportunities to travel abroad and gain different work experience and experience different cultures in the future.
4. Working Environment at KAP
Good team works solely count on cooperation. When I first came here to work, my seniors did not hesitate to give me guidance, while my colleagues also experienced a good benign competition. My officers also respect the opinions that we give, whereas division of tasks is also quite fair; therefore, the working environment here is quite pleasant. This is a very good mode of cooperation. In addition to the Japanese who are assigned to work in this company, this company also hires Japanese language teachers to guide us in the Japanese language. Whoever is able to use his/her spare time well, he/she can definitely improve his/her Japanese significantly. Credit should be given to everyone in this company for maintaining such a good working environment.
