1. Reasons for Joining this Company

Once there was a meeting when I witnessed the professionalism and demeanor of vendor salespeople. It actually made me yearn to join an equipment vendor. Therefore, I began developing and accumulating sales experiences. Eventually, I obtained an opportunity to stand on the stage of sales in the world’s top semiconductor industry, and become an outstanding salesperson while working with outstanding talents, thereby setting our eyes on the international market and working hard for the development of Taiwan’s high-tech industry.

2. Current Work Content

I first joined KAP in 2015. At present, I am responsible for DRAM customer sales. My main work content is to provide good after-sales services for KE’s original semiconductor furnace equipment, quickly meet customer needs in sales-related affairs such as component procurement, machine modifications and machine transfer and installation, as well as to link after-sales services from product delivery to troubleshooting.
In order to effectively understand customers’ problems and needs, I have to visit customers very frequently to understand first-hand customers’ needs and report the latest information, quickly send the accurate information obtained to the core team in Japan, and try to understand customers’ implicit needs in order to meet their expectations and put forward proposals which are beyond expectations, thereby achieving annual sales targets and attempting to set new performance records. In December 2017, I received an award from the President for achieving top sales performance for three consecutive years. This is the greatest affirmation of self-realization and enhancement of operational level.

3. Growth at Work

In addition to existing needs for machine modification and routine parts replacement, I have also developed new issues and sales items to establish high sales performance targets. Sales people have to actively participate in routine meetings with customers, increase the frequency of visiting customers, understand customer needs and uncover their implicit needs, and seek supports from supervisors or KE’s factories to come up with sales proposals and clinch sales orders after obtaining competitors’ information, thereby helping this company obtain maximum benefits. In the face of a highly competitive environment for semiconductor processes, rapid changes in customer demand will pose great challenges to the site. Understanding customers’ ever-changing needs, conducting internal discussions (reports)(communication)(negotiation) and reporting the situation to the head office, enhancing language, communication and negotiation skills, as well as improving professional skills are the greatest issues that I encounter, and serve as the driving force and goals in my career growth.
I hope that I can be an all-round professional salesperson, who have the ability to solve problems independently, and continue to uncover new sales items to maximize this company’s benefits.

4. Working Environment at KAP

After joining this company, employees will first undergo training at the training center in Hsinchu or Tainan, in which professional personnel will provide employees and customers with complete education and training using actual machines. After learning about the principles of machines and the internal structure of machines, the Head of Sales Department will provide one-on-one guidance on sales skills.
This company attaches importance to each employee’s safety as well as physical and mental health. Therefore, this company has established the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) hotline service to provide consultation on physical and mental issues. This company will also organize human right courses from time to time. In order to listen to employees’ opinions and exchange information with them, the President, along with top-level managers, will organize regular discussions at various locations to convey this company’s operational policies. In addition to a good and peaceful working environment, this company also provides employees with overseas trips, celebrates employees’ birthdays every month, and organize group events from time to time, thereby enabling friendly and lively exchanges between colleagues.
