1. Reasons for Joining this Company
At the beginning, I served as a safety watcher, and had the opportunity to work with engineers. Not only did it allow me to learn about hazard sources and the correct operating methods during operations, but also led me to gradually develop an interest in field work. As luck would have it, I was fortunate to be able to join this company, and became a process engineer with gratitude and anticipation. I worked alongside my seniors and learned step by step from the basics till this very day.
2. Current Work Content
I assist customers in the assembly of new machines and operations related to process inspection after assembly, and improve and troubleshoot machine-related problems. In additon, I report all the problems encountered at the site to the Japanese head office in Toyama, as well as contact and discuss such problems with the head office to solve them together, so that the machines can run smoothly to meet customer needs. I also improve the operational efficiency of machines, and establish a good working atmosphere with mutual trust together with customers, while learning from continuous encounters and solving problems, thereby enhancing my work experience so that I can play my role well.
3. Growth at Work
From nothing to something, I can gradually assist my seniors in operations, achieve a sense of accomplishment during operations, and love my work. While working with Japanese engineers, I need to use the Japanese language as a communication bridge between customers and the Japanese, which in turn allows me to elevate my Japanese language proficiency to the next level. From being totally afraid to speak the language to the current point that I can use the language for communication, I never thought of such an improvement before. I hope that I can also hold on to my original intention when I first joined this company and continue to work hard toward my goal of becoming an engineer who is capable of undertaking tasks on my own in the future!
4. Working Environment at KAP
Although this company is a Japanese company, it does not have a tense working environment like typical Japanese companies. The working environment at KAP is quite harmonious. This company offers a wide variety of employee benefits, which include not only performance bonuses, but also birthday parties for employees every month. This company also attaches importance to the interaction between each employee and their families after a tough day at work, and thus organizes annual overseas and domestic trips for employees so that employees can travel with their families and leave precious memories together. These trips are highly anticipated by everyone at this company.
This company also pays particular attention to employee learning as it encourages everyone to pursue continuing education. In addition to language learning, this company also offers technical training opportunities, giving engineers the chance to visit the Toyama office in Japan to study and learn about new technologies and machines, as well as to increase their self-skills and broaden their knowledge, thereby elevating their techniques and knowledge to the next level. All these are also beneficial to field work, so that we can be even more confident and active at work!
